KENDRA RENZONI TESTIMONIALS

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT FOUNDATION TRAINING, SHIATSU, AND BIODYNAMIC CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY WITH KENDRA RENZONI

“Friends in the western MA area, I don’t say this lightly- Kendra Renzoni is a phenomenal bodyworker. Game changing! Worth traveling for if you’re a bit far away but be sure and give yourself plenty of integration time after cause things will SHIFT.”
-A. R. C.

“The kind of support Kendra gives is so energizing and I feel she has my back in so many ways! I’ve had a lot of growth from our work and there’s also a sense of security that comes with it that I’m very grateful for.”
-M.R.

“I’m a huge fan of you and your teaching. For many reasons, including trauma, I am on-alert when it comes to teachers, healthcare practitioners, and “helpers” of all kinds. Your blend of ebullient enthusiasm, realness, and clean boundaries helps me drop into “the work” and let go of the vigilance. I appreciate whatever boatloads of work you’ve done on yourself to come across this way.”
-J.C.

“Kendra! I wanted to thank you for your work and for offering these Foundation Training courses. Can’t believe how much I’ve learned in so little time and how much more settled and empowered I feel in my body. Unreal. My parents had to tell me to stop talking about it when I visited them recently lol. And I’m finally able to do some running without ankle pain!”

- B.K.

“When I met Kendra, I was in a lot of pain, and nothing I did seemed to make a difference. She dove in headfirst, and gave me her complete focus and support. Kendra challenged me, taught me a ton of amazing things I didn’t think I could do, showed me how to think positively, and work on my issues myself. At times, her analysis of my pain bordered on prescient, and we always made progress, even when a way forward was unthinkable to me. Kendra always amazed me with her dedication, support, generosity, and passion for teaching. I feel I will benefit from the things I learned for the rest of my life, and I am truly grateful.”

- W.M.

“Kendra,
What an incredible class tonight. I wanted to put in writing that the cueing you did tonight was particularly helpful for me. You were so clear about each of the steps in the sequence of positions. It really helped me concentrate and refine my position, especially with my hips.
I was relieved that my vertigo did not emerge. I feel like my body is a wreck from the intense allergic inflammatory response I have had for the last week. Your class helped me move from hypervigience and fear of vertigo to trusting my kinestic sense. That, along with your verbal cueing really helped me focus and let go of the tension I have been feeling.
Many thanks.”

-M.L.

“I started doing private lessons with Kendra during an emotionally, troublesome time for myself.  I had already been doing yoga and found it a great anti-depressant, but after my private lessons started I really started to learn just how powerful a practice can be. Kendra’s office, to me, has now become a little sanctuary where I always feel safe and at peace.  Now, after many months of private lessons, I have become significantly stronger, more confident, and my moods have improved as well.  Kendra, through her patience, compassion, and brilliantness to see your body, what it does and needs, can help you through this process!

Kendra has helped me make very healthy positive changes in my life.  The work that is done during private lessons goes well beyond just trying to learn and do poses.  For me at least, it has also been training of the mind to focus and to love and care for myself.”
-J.O.

“I just had my first Shiatsu treatment and overall, I feel more lubricated….like WD-40 to my creaky areas and pain points and it feels easier to move. I felt this as I was driving home from our session but I am impressed that I am still feeling this way…gotta say I am pleasantly surprised by Shiatsu!”

-D.S.

“Dear Kendra,

Thank you so much for that Shiatsu session, my body is so so beautifully different; Tender but open are the words that come to my mind and I am so grateful to feel into this new way of being in a body. It is asking me to be intentional and slower than I have been before. I would like to come see you for a few sessions to work on my lower back, there is a lot there, holding, story, grief, joy…..Im excited to see what emerges through this work and I really feel like it is something I should commit to showing up for.”

-L.T.

“Kendra – both my body and soul appreciated the treatment onThursday. Thank you for your attentiveness and sensitivity guided by your deep understanding of the body and the subtle energies that we swim in. Being guided by your words in the beginning helped my to fully arrive into my body, situated on the floor, above the store, located in Greenfield on a bustling street, on the planet earth, in this vast universe.”

-R.R.

”Dear Kendra, I am reading Iyengar’s Tree of Yoga, and I have to tell you that I immediately thought of YOU when I read this passage in the section On Teachers and Teaching:

The teacher should be clear, clever, confident, challenging, caring, cautious, constructive, courageous, comprehending, creative, completely devoted and dedicated to knowing the subject, considerate, conscientious, critical, committed, cheerful, chaste and calm.  Teachers must be strong and positive in their approach.  They must be affirmative to create confidence in the pupils, and negative within themselves so that they can reflect critically on their own practice and attitudes.  Teachers must always be learning.  They will learn from their pupils and must have the humility to tell them that they are still learning their art.

Kendra, this is exactly my perception of YOU!  You are a great teacher according to BKS Iyengar.  And an exceptional teacher according to me. “

-A. D.

“Kendra’s passion and enthusiasm for Foundation Training is contagious, and I am a huge fan. Even in Zoom classes, she is present and active in personal feedback. This work is hard – but so rewarding because of Kendra’s support. Plus I’m so much stronger in my back, glutes, and hamstrings!”

-V.J.

“Kendra is such an amazing teacher and such a kind, sweet person! She is so knowledgeable about the human body and her excitement and encouragement are contagious. She is patient, compassionate, intuitive and so generous with her time and knowledge. I feel so much better and stronger and more aware in my body since starting classes with her over four years ago. My life wouldn’t be the same without her!”

-A.F.

“Love my time with Kendra! Shiatsu, Foundation Training and education of how our bodies work in amazing ways!”

-L.P.

“Kendra’s depth of knowledge is remarkable and her enthusiasm contagious. She is a gifted teacher who creates a fun and safe learning environment for highly challenging work. I’m so glad I took the leap into FT, it’s such a transformative practice!”

-D.K.S.

“If you have chronic pain, hyper-mobility issues, joint problems, or just want to shake up your exercise routine with a mentally challenging practice that helps you lengthen, decompress AND strengthen, and do all of this with a wonderfully motivational and supportive teacher, check out Foundation Training with Kendra!

Having had to give up entirely on asana yoga and severely curtail my dancing, gardening and other beloved physical activities due to the symptoms of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, FT is literally saving my life- getting me stronger, improving my interoception, strengthening me into decompression patterns so that even the degenerative disc disease and arthritis that has prevented me from belly dance and lifting weight more than 20 lbs is alleviating. While physical therapy helped, it only got me so far.

Between FT and other important lifestyle changes, I have far less pain in my body now, far fewer subluxations and a greater felt sense of how to move in my body to prevent injury. I am now able to work in my garden without being debilitated the next day, and am going to go to salsa dancing events again! Just in time for difficult times requiring fierce dancing and victory gardens.

So grateful for Kendra and her work!”

-E. H. F.

“Dear Kendra,
I appreciate your teaching this session. The enthusiasm you bring, your patience with my form, and your deep knowledge of anatomy, all lead me toward feeling better and learning ways to maintain that feeling.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the summer and I’ll be practicing my FT!”
-E. L.

“It was truly such a joy to meet you, and I am so excited and grateful to have some new tools to move forward with for working on my breath and CO2 tolerance! It has been taking some discipline to make the time to sit down and do these exercises, and I definitely have not been doing them as much as I would like to be, but whenever I have, I then feel a great degree of calm, clarity, and empowerment to continue. Thank you so much for taking your time to work with me! I’m so pleased to have had a chance to work with you, and I’m grateful for your insights!
-H.S.

“Hey, Kendra—

Just taking a moment to let you know… Prior to our Foundation Training class on Thursday, I was not only struggling with a tight and sore back, but for days had been in the grip of very old trauma stuff. The class not only eased the pain in my body but really popped me out of my trauma trance and into the present.”
-J.D.

“Kendra speaks of alignment, strength within mobility, grace, technique, and experiential understanding of the anatomy and emotions in the body. I have experienced all of this and so much more with her insight, guidance and support.

Working at a sedentary job for most of my life,  I tried to counter this inactivity with an active lifestyle on my time including alpine skiing, cycling, hiking and working the family farm.  These choices have left my body with many imbalances.  I relied on yoga for many years to find a solution.

This physical quest has lasted many years, and more recently to Foundation Training which is so much more transformative and challenging for me than yoga.  Strengthening at my range of motion is building my mobility and has been the most direct way that i have found to solve my body’s imbalances.

Kendra has also introduced me to Shiatsu, which I find is another way to try and fully understand myself.  First she fully listens to you, then she uses her skills to tap into your body and facilitate its healing.  These continue to be one of my favorite treats to my soul.

Her Podcasts are another way that she brings light onto the human condition.  Ranging into many topics she has a way to weave others knowledge with hers to make the complex understandable.  I find myself listening over and over in the car to get all of the treasures that are there.

My current daily routine includes a 20 minute blend of internal martial arts, Foundation Training, breath work, and standing meditation.  I have never felt more alive and confident in who i am.  I take this feeling into my life and it is empowering me to face my life through difficult feelings and life’s many obstacles toward a sense of contentment.”

-S. W.

“I worked with my weight trainer today after two weeks off. At my request, we had a session on shoulders which was inspired by my work with Kendra in the Foundation Training sessions that we do together, which let me focus on scapula mobility, pelvic/posterior chain foundation, hip driven movement, and axial alignment.

It was a really good session. My weight trainer was fascinated by what I told him about the FT work I have been doing with you. He said he could see the progress I have made in shoulder position, external rotation at the humerus, and scapula position.  That was very satisfying!

It was really exciting for me to  see and feel how all of the above set my lats up to support my shoulders. It really was quite a session today!”

-C.S.

“I just wanted to reach out and say a quick thank you, practicing and learning Foundation Training has really helped me, especially recently as I’ve been in some tougher waters—the movements, breathing techniques and your philosophy, the outlook—-to cultivate mindset and embodied practice of conscious stress-adaption and resilience and strength building is so powerful. There are tools for life’s challenges. It’s up to me to use them lol. Courage and discipline, responsibility and response-ability, ya know what I’m sayin’ ?!”

-M.C.

“Kendra, thank you S000 much for the amazing journey yesterday – “Shiatsu session” barely begins to cover it! It felt amazing and continues to sit in my body, I generally feel more balanced. I loved the spiral from the heart to the neck and emerging sponginess in my lliacus! As I mentioned, it feels really privileged to experience such deep listening and tuning in.
And, of course, the FT class this morning felt like it was the perfect continuation of this work!”

-L.

“Our Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy session felt so relaxing while I was there and I loved the deep rest that it induced!”

-G.L.

“Since our last Shiatsu session I’ve been much less sore and creaky, looser, more cheerful, more hopeful about my future, more energized, more active without getting tired, my blood sugar numbers have been lower (which is good), I have put in more physical work hours, earned more money, loved my wife more (if that’s even possible), reached more clarity about my life’s purpose, and felt ten years younger … all good!”

-T.M.

“Kendra is an amazing bodywork practitioner, her friendly and open demeanor help you relax and get the most out of your session.”

-E.Z.

“Kendra Renzoni is a true teacher and student of Yoga with all its components.  She is gentle, smart, energetic and kind.  She has an infectious laugh and spirit.  Her classes are beginner to intermediate  and above.  She doesn’t want anyone to limit themselves, but is aware of limitations!  She is awesome!”

- L. B. C.

“I’ve been taking classes with Kendra since the summer at Serenity in South Hadley. As someone new to yoga, Kendra is an amazing instructor. She teaches techniques to make the poses accessible to students at all levels. She’s also fun to work with and I leave every class feeling energized.”

- K. G.

“Kendra is AMAZING! My friend talked me into trying her Foundation Training course a year ago and I have been hooked ever since. It is transforming my body and I look forward to it every week. Her shiatsu sessions are intuitive and exceptional as well. I cannot recommend Kendra enough, she is a dedicated teacher and healer who operates from deep passion and dedication.”

-P.K.

“Kendra is an incredible teacher. She is all in–a master of Foundation Training AND always learning more. This class is the hardest thing I do all week–while basically standing in place. It requires all of my physical effort and concentration, and Kendra’s lively, authentic connection to her class is amazing. I took classes live before COVID and now on Zoom and I believe I get even more individualized attention on Zoom and love the setup of the class with plenty of time for questions. Our class is quite interactive and we all learn from each other, as well as Kendra’s use of the Essential Anatomy app for nerding out and teaching us amazing anatomy. I thought I was stuck with my body. Now I am learning how I can change my body. Foundation Training is something I just learned about in the past year and half. Foundation training with Kendra is its own amazing experience. So many people have healing their bodies with it, and Kendra is committed to your success.”

-S.K.

“Kendra is a gem. She teaches her Foundation Training classes with passion, she finds great podcasts and articles to share, she gives amazing shiatsu treatments where I always feel that she’s focused on my particular issues, and she’s always looking to learn more that she can share with her students and clients. I am so grateful to have Kendra in my life!”

-V.

“Working with Kendra in her Foundation Training courses has been SO supportive and transformational for me. I have a 9-5 desk job, and through my practice with Kendra I have corrected many of my poor posture habits, I no longer have chronic shoulder tension, and have fewer tension headaches.

My body has become stronger overall and more adept at any other exercise, sport or movement I engage with.

Kendra is also an incredible resource for learning anatomy in an Embodied way, not just memorizing parts and labels.

Kendra Renzoni’s practice needs at least 10 stars, all the stars!”

-L.F.Z.

“Kendra is a wonderful teacher because she loves what she teaches, knows her stuff and gets to know her students so well she gives just the right feedback. Her enthusiasm makes the class fun and sets us all up to learn.”

-L.A.

“I appreciate you, dear Kendra: you are a wealth of information/knowledge, and enthusiasm;  you are inspiring, and truly helpful for those who find you; you are important for the continued health of all of us … during these times.”

-N.A.

“Kendra, you’re simply the best! Thank you so much for our deep dive together yesterday. I love the resourcing which kept me squarely in the moment. That session can now be a resourcing image for me as well ❤️ I love that you start by encouraging me to tune in to what’s going on. Your listening hands are magic, the soft waves of fascia are way fun, and today I have a new appreciation for the sinews of my neck. Yes that C7 hump did get all ironed out at the very end of the session. So long story short it’s all there, now I have to cultivate returning to that place.

Love you lots, and I value all your teaching and healing enormously.”

L.L.

“WOW!

I woke up this morning, free of pain!  It is as if a spell has broken.  I’m almost in disbelief.

I am so relieved 😮‍💨

Thank you for your skilled part in my recovery,”
N.A.

“I have been working with Kendra for a few years now (Shiatsu and Foundation Training classes both) and I know my body better than I ever have, and feel like I have the tools to curb my discomfort. What keeps me coming back? The wealth of KNOWLEDGE and diversity of approaches to such issues! Kendra is ready to troubleshoot with you, and address the foundation of it all.”

-H.M.

“After years of planning to hike the AT and joining into Kendra’s classes as part of my preparation for that, I finally went on the treck and, thinking back on that time, it was quite a personal revelation to internalize the guidance Kendra gave me about not reacting to pain or possible injury and instead trying to work with it; not a hike goes by where that thought process isn’t percolating beneath the surface to keep me positive.  It has really helped re-write a narrative that was holding me back.”
-S.C.T.

“The Foundation Training Practice and specifically the hip hinge is a miracle. In just a few of the first classes of the Intro to Foundation Training course, I’ve already noticed my glutes, lower back and pelvis are a lot less tight! I look forward to the benefits of doing this on a more regular basis. Thank you Kendra for your thorough teachings throughout this course. You are a fabulous teacher and healer. I look forward to working with you in the future!”
-C.T.

“Kendra!

You do make the whole process of taking courses so smooth and fun, even the logistics of signing up and booking calls feels gentle on my whole system.

I’m learning a lot from the way you hold your classes, and how much space you give yourself and your students at the beginning and the end of each class.

It allows my whole system to settle in and be neuro-plastic enough to learn.

I’m really looking forward to what comes up this season!”
-L.S.

“Dear Kendra, I attended a few of your level one classes back in June. Since then I have done a little bit of traveling and a lot of working on myself. In this time I was listening to your podcasts. I would listen to one before bed every night and they seemed to help with my insomnia. As I continued to listen I took your lessons and words into my daily life over the past few weeks. I just wanted to let you know that your words have inspired and helped me through a lot of pain I have been experiencing. Everything that I am realizing are things that I have always known but have been scared to let surface.

Many thanks for your truthful words!”
-L.B.

“Kendra! We had a Shiatsu session yesterday and I noticed after walking out of class today that everyone was smiling at me in the street. Either I had something funny on my face or I was showing up as a brand new polished penny! Felt more like the later to me! Slept GREAT last night, woke up tired as I would normally when I begin to catch up on delayed rest. I generally feel more spacious and uplifted. When I (finally) got to class today all I could think was just how grateful I was to be in that space at that moment with all of you. I’m truly grateful, THANK YOU FOR YOUR AMAZING WORK, for guiding us all on our body-mind journeys, and for helping me unravel some stuff along the way, simply profound my dear!”
-L.G.

“Our Shiatsu session made me feel light as a feather. Kendra has the gentlest touch of anyone I know. I still feel lighter on my feet than usual, which, of course, also means I’m lighter in my mind.”
E.Z.

“Kendra is an born teacher and healer. With her eagle eye and her mind’s eye, she will find the blind spots in your body and soul and help you develop long lasting strength and inner power. She weaves together creatively her in-depth knowledge of different modalities and always brings her inspiring best self to the class. Thanks for the light you bring to this world!!”

-L.L.

I can do back bends.  Even with my hefty 6’3″ 280 body, Kendra had the know how and the experience to make me feel safe and utilize the proper props I could easily use at home to continue my practice on my own and after 6 months I’m down to a more manageable 230#.  Kendra infuses her skills and spirit as an artist into her work as a Yoga teacher. Her notes are precise and several months later I can easily follow her illustrations of poses from sequences taught long ago.  Kendra has changed my life in ways unimaginable.  Not only is she my Yoga teacher,  she is my counselor and trusted friend.  I can’t find enough words to describe how much its been worth to me.  Priceless.  Thanks Kendra!!”

-K.S.

“Kendra is an amazing instructor and overall just an amazing person! She emits positivity and so much joy; no matter how you feel going into one of her classes, you will come out feeling wonderful, relaxed, and with a smile on your face. She works with each of her students on a personal level and really gets to know what you can and cannot do. She doesn’t pressure you, but she is dedicated to helping you succeed. While physical strength, repair, and wellness are important in her classes, a major component is mental and spiritual peace. She sings beautiful mantras, teaches amazing virtues, and tells hilarious stories.”

-J.O.

“I cannot recommend Kendra highly enough. I drove three hours to have my first Foundation Training session with her and never once did I regret it. She’s a natural at the online classes too (which is great so I don’t have to drive the three hours). Completely vested in me achieving my goals and incredibly generous with her time. Her knowledge of anatomy is really something else. Before long she’ll know your body mechanics better than you do!”

-K.C.

“Kendra has the wonderfully unique ability to help your body, mind and soul. She is gifted, knowledgeable, intuitive, caring and so very skilled at what she does. I have been working with Kendra for 10+ years. She is so enthusiastic about what she practices and enjoys expanding her knowledge and sharing that new information and growth with her clients. I am always in a better place, physically and emotionally, after a session with her. Foundation Training has changed my life, which means Kendra has changed my life. I can’t recommend her highly enough.”

-K.D.

“Kendra is a gifted teacher and healer. She and I have been working together for more than 5 years and I have grown and healed so much by her guidance.”

-H.M.D.

“Kendra is phenomenal! She’s been my teacher for almost a decade and is constantly challenging herself and her students to learn about themselves and their bodies, and how we move through the world. Highly recommend Kendra for Foundation Training, Shiatsu, and movement work.”

-A.E.

“Sometimes fellow Foundation Training students and I will just gush about how great Kendra is behind her back.”

-W.A.

“Dear Kendra,

The Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy session was a very powerful experience. I felt a relaxation I have not had in a very long time. I believe it is still happening as I had a hard time with my friend who is currently staying with me this morning. Even though he lost his cool, I was able to realize it was not about me and I was able to be calm and help him get to a place of constructive communication.

Physically I am feeling stronger and more in my body. Spiritually I am being more grounded and able to accept the realities I am not fond of a bit better.

I am able to balance trying to meet my goals with resting better. I tend to push myself too hard and I am being a bit more productive and resting more if that makes sense. You are a very skilled and talented healer!”
-J.G.

“I wanted to share a cute Foundation Training story with you. I was with friends this past weekend and they like to sleep in. So, in the early mornings, I was doing some FT practice and workout stuff outdoors in an open area of a little town where we were staying. I realized later that an older person was an audience to all of this — he asked if I was a dancer as I finished up. I took that as a major compliment for my positioning and breathing because he was a concert pianist, and my impression is that professional musicians are attuned to healthy movement!”
