NEW SPIRITUALITY VS THE OLD: I grew up in a religi NEW SPIRITUALITY VS THE OLD: I grew up in a religious town. My family didn’t go to church or follow religion. The other kids wondered what religion I was a part of. I lied; told them I was Catholic. I wanted to be liked. I felt scared of social shame and being an outsider. I went to churches to see what was happening there… I tried to connect with it, I didn’t understand & couldn’t integrate it with my personal experiences. I decided not to follow religion but still yearned for a process of personal growth & meaning… a lot of my life has been dedicated to that.

“Religion can be an open door into spirituality or a closed door that prevents you from going deeper. The important thing is that religion doesn’t become an ideology: “I believe this ___.” The moment you say, “only my belief is true” or “only our belief is true,” and you deny other peoples beliefs, that means you’ve adopted an ideology.” - Eckhart Tolle

“The old way was “The hierarchy has the authority.” The church authorities tell you how to worship in church & how to behave outside of church. The new is, you are your own best authority & as you work to know & love yourself you discover how to live a more spiritual life. The old way is, “God & the path to worship ‘him’ have already been defined & all you need to do is follow the direction. The new, is being able to listen within for your own definition of spirituality; your deeper longings are your compass. The old, says that there is only one path, one right way and all other ways are wrong. The new says many paths lead to spiritual freedom and peace. You have a rich array of gems from which to draw illumination, the world’s religions traditions, mythologies, psychology, healing methods, scientific wisdom, your own experience that you can begin to string a necklace all of your own.… etc” - Elizabeth Lesser

I think “The Old Way” can be found in student-teacher, & doctor-patient dynamics. To me, the most successful teachers are teaching principles, the “why” and the “how,” so we aren’t just doing a cue to do a cue perfectly, to be liked, to feel “right,” or to belong, but so that everyone can forge their own path.
BELONGING: This year I decided to take a week off BELONGING: This year I decided to take a week off every 3 weeks for🩸🌕. A deep pain in my life has been feeling like I don't belong. Growing up in Medford, Wisconsin was an exercise in being an outsider. In Malidoma Some's book on Africa, he writes that when a baby is born, the entire tribe cheers. They believe the baby takes birth there w/ them because it is bringing something invaluable to the tribe. It is born, needed. Born, belonging. This struck me because, in being self-employed, my fears about scarcity were combining with this fear that I truly didn't belong & to me, it meant that what I cared the most about & what might be considered my "gifts" were actually not needed, not valuable, not even gifts, more like some weird nothingness's that weren’t even seen or knowable to me. So I never took time off which created more of that outsider feeling because I was always in the role of the "professional." So I have been taking time off & seeing friends & getting surprised by how much more I feel like I’m a part of something.

TAKE-AWAY: Many of my teachers & mentors from my parent's generation got so captured by capitalism's idea of "professionalism" that they conditioned themselves out of authenticity. I got messages about how you need to do your hair, dress, to hold posture, to talk without saying the word "like,” to write according to rules of language but not use language as a tool to write as we would actually express ourselves... Will my mess be my demise? Will it be an opening to belonging? This idea that we can control other people's thoughts is definitely not real. In school, I became terrified of social shame & kept myself hidden. I've come out a lot & am now seeing parts that I've kept private in such a sneaky way that they are even private to me! My judgements blocked these orphaned parts which are now giving me connection with MYSELF & others who previously threatened my carefully packaged identity, but share my interests, values, passions, & willingness to go in & heal. What about the belonging that comes from not having a facade separating us from others? I feel like I'm rubbing a fog off of my eyes & seeing who has been right there all along!
GETTING IN OUR OWN WAY: UN-DOING: There is an undo GETTING IN OUR OWN WAY: UN-DOING: There is an undoing required in order to learn to be. It’s not so much the “being“ itself, it’s more about coming out of hiding our being. Coming out of the closet as "beings" rather than "doings." Allowing that being-ness to shine through. Being loving or honest come through un-doing. Yet, being human is an art and through practice we can become more natural….For many of us, in the journey from childhood to adulthood, in developing our nervous system, gaining skills, growing up, learning to adapt to our environment, this “being“ somehow seems too innocent, vulnerable, too naïve to be allowed to run things. Then, this part of us shows up that wants IN and wants to run things. This part actually starts to get in the way.

The emotional process of "unlearning" is perfectly paralleled in the process of physically healing. For example, in the beginning of our lives, we need to learn to walk. Through instinct, support & a lot of experimentation we learn to walk. Then we let it go and it becomes a natural thing for us. It becomes unconscious, like we don't have to think about it.

But in that, we might learn some habits of walking that are actually working against our skeletal system and our movement system and trauma can get stuck in the movement system so we might be avoiding certain positions, movements and postures. This avoidance can initially create some respite, but often, in the longer path, it creates more limitation & pain. To move forward, we begin to unlearn or change some of those movement patterns, removing tensions and habits, in order to let the authentic walking show through more. We learn to use our bodies in a more optimal way by unlearning and then learning some specific movements that light up the innate and natural way of our body's inherent intelligence. Perhaps, if we were a simpler animal, we would walk optimally because we wouldn't get any of these impediments or problems in the system but we do because of our complexity… The complexity that allows us the sensitivity to the world, which is so wonderful, is also what gets in the way and when we bring consciousness to that we can access a profound simplicity.
THE PIVOT POINT: There is an infamous gall bladder THE PIVOT POINT: There is an infamous gall bladder point (GB 30) at the back of the greater trochanter / hip where the glutes run through called the pivot point. It’s Chinese name means “Jumping Circle” and it can extend its influence in a circle all the way around the body. If the tissue is restricted there, it will not allow the femur to rotate in the hip socket very well, literally restricting our ability to change direction. The emotional and spiritual meaning of this is inside our ability to change direction in order to re-route into the direction of the greatest personal growth… Spring time is a big “Cross Roads” moment of deciding which direction to turn, which path will take us toward our vision? Am I seeing clearly? Is my vision working? Is my perspective and perception open minded or am I somehow seeing through the lens of the past? (Failures, rejections etc..) Am I seeing disappointment or am I seeing where the opportunity is? Like, if the universe is conspiring for me, what’s the lesson here? What direction do I put my energy towards? What direction yields the most personal growth? The thought that life is working out for us is at least as true as the thought that life isn’t working out for us… but one yields more curiosity, growth and healing and the other yields more shutting down and defensive patterns.

Foundation Training makes the glutes and hips supple, mobile, strong and stable. I’ve never felt so emotionally and physically capable of pivoting in my whole life! The ability to pivot well at the hip also allows the spine freedom and takes compressive forces off of the spine. Come work on your pivot point in the Spring Series:

SPRING SERIES SIGN UP DUE APRIL 1! “Foundation T SPRING SERIES SIGN UP DUE APRIL 1! “Foundation Training focuses on two fundamental ranges of motion: hip hinging and rib cage movement (otherwise known as breathing). That’s it. When you can perform those ranges of motion with legitimate strength, most other areas of the body fall correctly in line. These exercises create more surface area around the spine and in the thoracic cavity (your chest), and the body is trained to have enough strength to maintain the space you’ve created… Decompression, through breath work, is about creating space around the 12 joints of the thoracic spine. Right along the spine is much of the autonomic nervous system, which controls the automatic decisions our body makes: function of internal organs, regulation of heart rate, digestion and respiration, sexual arousal, pupil dilation, and the fight or flight response. Each of those things independently can be impaired when the tissues here are compressed so the more we room we can give that system, the healthier its tissues become.“ - Dr. Eric Goodman: Foundations of Health

Foundation Training is a simple solution that gives you the means to change the way you move and correct the imbalances caused by our modern lives. Through a series of body-weight exercises, Foundation Training activates your posterior muscle chain, anchors the hips, decompresses the spine and organs, retrains the movements of the hips, feet and ankles, rib basket, shoulders and wrists, and teaches you to take the burden of supporting the body out of your joints and put it where it belongs; in your muscles. No matter your age or fitness level Foundation Training is incredibly helpful in getting you where you want to go… check out the schedule on my website: kendrarenzoni.com #foundationtraining #functionalfitness #functionaltraining #functionalmedicine #occupationaltherapy #physicaltherapy #hipmobility #hipstability #spinalhealth #plantarfasciitis #anklemobility #anklestability #kneepain #kneehab #sciatica #sciaticarelief #lowbackpain #breathwork #fascia #anatomytrains #frozenshoulder #rotatorcuff #carpaltunnel #cervicalspine #protectyaneck #migrains #digestion #selfhealers #youcandoit
RETRAINING MOVEMENT PATTERNS: To me, the most succ RETRAINING MOVEMENT PATTERNS: To me, the most successful and inspiring people out there are the ones teaching principles, not saying “you should do this or do that” but teaching the “why” behind it so that everyone can forge their own path. As a teacher, I work to get each student into a place where they can discern for themselves how to move forward in a way that reaches their personal goals. It is a “self-at-the-center” kind of practice. This is very empowering for each individual. It obliterates power dynamics in the student-teacher relationship and also allows a great relationship to build between us. I want to authentically be myself and I want that for everyone in my classes too! Foundation training is an adjacent practice. It isn’t about getting good at Foundation Training (which, you will!). It’s something you do that is about being able to do your own unique life, better.

"The way of love is not a subtle argument. The doo "The way of love is not a subtle argument. The door there is devastation.

Birds make great sky circles of their freedom. How do they learn it?

WHAT IS FOUNDATION TRAINING? “Foundation Training is an autonomous pain relief protocol. That means that you are going to learn how to fix yourself. You will learn how to understand where the symptoms are coming from, the origin and how that imbalance occurs, and the skills (the very easy and repeatable skills) of fixing those imbalances with your own strength and you will learn how to perpetuate strong movement patterns. If you become an instructor, you learn how to teach a sort of step-by-step physical resurrection to your patients and clients. They are going to come to you with pains and symptoms and you’re going to say, look, your body is a web of tissue, not a piece that is bad and everything else is good. So, as that web starts to shift and break down and tighten, these compensations create imbalances, you have to learn how to understand and to fix those. That understanding is called somatosensation, and there is nothing in the world that teaches somatosensation as well as Foundation Training. So as you’re learning the practice, you’re learning the skill of translating symptoms, the skill of understanding of how to build strength into places that are currently weak spots, allowing other strengths to become better balanced and how to provide a systemic large integrated movement pattern that protects the joints, protects the spine, gives space to the organs, the lungs, the heart, and keeps the head held high instead of drooping down. So with Foundation Training you are learning a life skill that is going to help you get yourself and others better for the rest of your life.” - Eric Goodman @itsreallygoodman

HOW YOU BREATHE = HOW YOU LIVE: All of my breath t HOW YOU BREATHE = HOW YOU LIVE: All of my breath teachers have, at one point, said this. "For example, the inability to release disappointment, can mean that the individual thereafter remains closed to the possibility of repeating the experience which led to the disappointment. Fear of failure, defensive pride and anticipation of rejection are all examples of patterns which can limit new experience and leave the individual stuck in unwanted life structures. The inability to let go (exhale) can be a cause of much stagnation. Because the individual is reluctant to initiate exchange with the environment, they will tend to have shallow or restricted breathing patterns. These patterns keep the exchange with the environment at a minimum level, and maintain the original weakness" - Carola Beresford Cook: Shiatsu Theory and Practice.

Foundation Training has really drastically changed my breathing and that was a big deal for me because I had exercise induced asthma as a kid and now, as an adult working through it with nasal breathing when running and the decompression breath from Foundation Training, I can run and play hard and still breathe. That is perhaps the most uplifting and hopeful feeling in the whole world!! Each new place that opens in my thoracic cavity releases a ton of stuck fear and is a quite literal heart opener. I feel my pericardium is letting go of it’s protective squeeze around my heart and allowing a little more space for me to let go of some of those fears and feel a little safer inside.

COMING OUT OF THE CACOON: Here I am with @hmcdank COMING OUT OF THE CACOON: Here I am with @hmcdank and excitedly discovering that she can now breathe the back of her rib basket open into the floor. When we started 3 years ago, her back barely made contact with the ground it was hard to feel, breathe or move the ribs in her back. (Victory!!!)

When I first joined band in fifth grade, our teacher taught us to breathe into our backs to power the breath for our instruments. Turns out 60% of our lung tissue is in the back of our body and the single biggest determinant of life span is our lung volume, our capacity to breathe and access all of our lung tissue. In the yoga world, breath is called prana, which is basically our life force energy. In my experience with Foundation Training, the process of learning the decompression breath has created the most expansion in the ribs I have ever felt and it opened up my entire body. I actually feel like it changed my fascia because it was as if my body was stuck in too small of a container. The process of opening the rib basket was like undoing a knot from the center out. It resolved neck, shoulder, spinal, and hip issues! Like I used to be the crumpled butterfly that was newly out of the cocoon and the decompression breath unfurled my spine, the wings and my whole body.

"I know the voice of depression
Still calls to you.

I know those habits that can ruin your life
Still send their invitations.

But you are with the Friend now
And look so much stronger.

You can stay that way
And even bloom!

Keep squeezing drops of the Sun
From your prayers and work and music
And from your companions' beautiful laughter.

Keep squeezing drops of the Sun
From the sacred hands and glance of your Beloved
And, my dear,
From the most insignificant movements
Of your own holy body.

Learn to recognize the counterfeit coins
That may buy you just a moment of pleasure,
But then drag you for days
Like a broken man
Behind a farting camel.

...O keep squeezing drops of the Sun
From your prayers and work and music
And from your companions' beautiful laughter

And from the most insignificant movements
Of your own holy body.

Now, sweet one,
Be wise.

Hafiz "Cast All Your Votes for Dancing"

"The human body is amazing in its ability to heal itself, especially in stressful times. Eric expresses the importance of being curious about your physical conditions when presented, and about how your body is reporting to you about the stress or situation. He helps us to dance with that stress. Life is a dance, man, and this practice invites you to join in... Just like playing a musical instrument and practicing, moving up and down the fret board, practicing and getting better. The human body is an instrument to train, practice, and manage until it becomes not second nature, but first nature in how you manage stress, recovery, and your health. It's all connected man!" -- Jeff Bridges in his forward to Eric Goodman's most recent book, Foundations of Health

SPRING FOUNDATION TRAINING SERIES: "What's madnes SPRING FOUNDATION TRAINING SERIES:
"What's madness but nobility of soul
At odds with circumstance?" - Theodore Roethke

Here I am with @hmcdank working on the Founder. This posture engages the posterior chain of muscles which are the strongest chain of muscles, woven together by fascia, in our body & our "back core." The posterior chain erects us upward, resists the compressive loads of gravity and acts as "shocks and struts" for our spine. Here I am encouraging her to pull herself in two opposite directions, reaching her hips back as she strongly breaths her rib basket expansively, elongates her waist, and reaches the crown of her head away from her pelvis. This counterbalance is an act of nobility of soul at odds with circumstance. She is actively expanding her torso in length and width. She is supported by the work in her legs which are stabilizing her lower spine through anchoring and helping to spread open the back of the pelvis to take compression out of the sacro-iliac joint and free up the pathway of the nerves from the lumbar spine down her legs. The Buddha said, “Everything we need is within arm's reach.”Circumstance can be the very thing that drives us to create freedom from real or perceived limitations.

SPRING FOUNDATION TRAINING SERIES! Our bodies are SPRING FOUNDATION TRAINING SERIES!
Our bodies are built to heal themselves. Foundation training is a unique form of biomechanics that utilizes postures, poses, movements and breathwork to remind the body of its inherent intelligence, it's efficient strength, and its capacity to heal itself. These classes help us tap into our natural potential. The techniques help to guide and maintain the state of balance the body needs in order to function optimally with stability and harmony.

Come learn to move in a way that steadily builds you up instead of steadily breaks you down. The movements are functional, meaning you find them in everyday life. This practice is completely integrate-able and the process of re-training movement patterns and applying it to life can add feeling of being present, awake, & more fully alive to everything you do.

THE PRICE OF MOVING FORWARD: "The greater the doub THE PRICE OF MOVING FORWARD: "The greater the doubt, the greater the awakening; the smaller the doubt, the smaller the awakening. No doubt, no awakening." - C.C. Chang, The Practice of Zen

I've got a set of Greek Goddess Tarot cards. I pick a card & it walks me through a journey. It's usually something like seeing a hole in a tree, walking to the hole, realizing there is a passageway & following it down, down, down, until coming face to face with a Goddess; then she offers you an answer. Before she sends you on your way, she asks for something in return, you give it to her & travel your way back up, returning refreshed & renewed. I've wondered "Why do we have to give something in return?" I think that's the price though... like, "No doubt, no awakening."
It is spring here in the sunlight and the smell of the air. I feel it in my body too... hibernating still feels good, but going for longer walks in the woods is more luxurious than that now. So far though, I feel myself going backward to go forward. Cleaning out Gmail, Dropbox, iCloud Drive, photos on my phone... everything got stuffed to the gills and needs to be let go of before anything new can get in. In the process of revisiting my memories as a different version of myself, I'm letting go too. As I resolve the unresolved, I can delete stuff. Clarity comes for how to move forward & I guess that's the price we pay.
I've been taking risks with being perfect too, like talking to long, doing things that I feel I cannot do because, if I do them, I'll lose people, which is uncomfortable, but the vigilance and tension of being perfect in order to not lose people is more uncomfortable... it is too much to maintain... totally unsustainable. (Would love to free that energy up for other things!) So, I've been risking losing.. and getting scared in the process.
This weekend Daniel said to me, "Becoming rich as well as losing everything are both acts of enlightenment."....

MANIC SCREAMING:
We should make spiritual talk
Simple today:
God is trying to sell you something,
But you don't want to buy.
That is what your suffering is:
Your fantastic haggling,
Your manic screaming over the price!
- Hafiz, I Heard God Laughing
MATURE: The Greek root word for mature means “do MATURE: The Greek root word for mature means “double-minded,” or even, “many minded;” To hold two seemingly opposite perspectives both as truth. “Maturity is the capacity to hold opposite ideas at the same time. If a person only holds a single idea, it's like seeing the world with one eye. Seeing with only one eye can bring a person closer to becoming blind to what's going on." @michaelmeade_mosaicvoices …In my practice, I’ve been exploring my edges through looking at them with multiple perspectives. Where am I still shutting down in fear and self protection? Am I able to open to my core pain, soften my armor and protection? Is there a sense of emergency or drama running me?What beliefs are running the whole show? Where am I being hyper-vigilant? Trying to control things I can’t control? Ceaselessly striving? Is perfectionism giving me the illusion of control but ultimately coming from a perspective that is causing suffering? Where do I meet my edge? With difficult feelings, I’m entering into the physical experience of the anxiety and confusion itself… developing the strength and willingness to do what I’ve spent my whole life avoiding: residing in the physical reality of the present moment… Can I discontinue one small aspect of my behavior that promises pleasure but only leads to dissatisfaction, in order to experience the energy behind it? In teaching, I’ve been working through “wanting to be liked” and stopping small behaviors that are about getting people to like me… like allowing myself to talk longer than I think I should… and seeing what actually happens? I’m finding out! Is my perspective true or is it limiting me? I try to get people to like me by being “perfect” in all these ways… but really I’m uncomfortable if they don’t like me, so I’m trying to control other people so that I can be comfortable… all with this illusion that if other people like me, I’ll be comfortable… but, they do like me and I’m still a hot and bothered mess over here! So I may as well focus on getting comfortable because it’s an issue inside me, not outside of me! #breathe #embody #heart #getcomfortable #takerisks #livedangerously #edge #foundationtraining #grow #selfhealers
3 DAY FULL MOON FAST: I've been fasting as a way t 3 DAY FULL MOON FAST: I've been fasting as a way to heal up my gut and there are so many cool benefits to this process! Here is a breakdown that I got from @dr.mindypelz :

17 HOURS: ACTIVATES CELLULAR AUTOPHAGY
Cells become stronger because they start to do cellular autophagy. In the 1950's, Belgian scientist Christian de Duve was studying insulin when he accidentally discovered a process he called autophagy, from the Greek words for "self" (auto) and "eating" (phagy). It is the mechanism by which cells cannibalize some of their own parts in a continual cleanup process. As cells get older, parts of the cells age and become nonfunctional. As we get older, this process of continual clean-up slows down. Autophagy is a way of rejuvenating the cell. It basically gets rid of the non-functional components of the cell... mitochondria that aren't working, proteins that are malfunctioning, endoplasmic reticulum etc... it's the process by which the cell gets rid of stuff that isn't working right.. it eats it up!

24 HOURS: GUT REPAIR
- Intestinal stem cells reboot themselves
- Repairs inner mucosal lining of the gut "leaky gut"
- Repairs micro-biome: If you've been on antibiotics, birth control for decades, or just went out to eat and it was bad food.. this is a nice way to repair the micro-biome

36 HOURS: FAT BURNING
- Turns on fat burning.. (if you are weight loss resistant) body goes to find the glucose and insulin it has stored

48 HOURS: DOPAMINE RESET
- Reset dopamine receptor sites
- Reset the dopamine pathways
- Feel joy again

BREATHING INTO THE BACK: Here I am working with th BREATHING INTO THE BACK: Here I am working with this beauty on breathing into the lowest ribs of her back. My first experience of this space opening was with with an osteopath who released the tension in this area of my body and then I went home and slept for 3 days!! I had so much tension here that it was squeezing my kidneys and adrenals in such a way that I was in a perpetual low grade state of fight or flight. When the squeeze came off, I was able to rest, and REST I DID!! … I am asking her to use her Serratus Posterior Inferior to move those ribs and in addition to that, she’s getting the back edges of her diaphragm to move and the 12th rib to move with her Quadratus Lumborum and her Psoas where they attach at that 12th rib. This is a zone near a place called Ming Men in Chinese Medicine. Ming = life or fate. Men = Destiny or Gate of Power. (Between L2 and L3) This is the place, in Chinese Medicine, where the life force (Qi or Prana) that the lungs get from the breath is grasped by the Kidneys, the seat of the will; our will to live. This gate, when open, is said to allow us to absorb original qi from the universe. The habit of projecting the ribs forward and tightening this space, closes that gate and can, in my experience, put quite a strain on the Kidneys. Kidneys are of the water element which has to do partly with one-ness and our sense of belonging. Do we feel alone and separate, like our survival is up to us alone to ensure? Does fear run our life? Limit us from ever resting? Do we feel supported, that we belong, and like we can rest because “the universe has our back?” #foundationtraining #decompressionbreath #musclesofrespiration #waterelement #fear #alone #belonging #supported #rest #destiny #will #qi #kidneys #adrenalfatigue #adrenaline #breathwork #backpain #correctiveexercise #rehab #prehab #functionalfitness #psoas #backpainrelief #rest #energy #opportunity #state #movementismedicine #movementculture #injuryrecovery #longevity
CLOSING OUT 2021: “My belief about ________ hold CLOSING OUT 2021: “My belief about ________ holds me back from flourishing. I interrupt this belief by remembering that ________”…. Personally, I’ve got a habit of putting people I am inspired by and learning from up on a pedestal. When I start believing that they are better than me, I go into a pattern of hiding from them, putting distance between me and them / keeping engagements at minimum… if I ask myself, “Who would I be without that belief?” I’d be myself, I’d be excited about all that I am learning and how much I have grown, how much more I’ve been able to offer my students and how much they have grown… I would see the similarities between myself and others who are inspired by and studying with the same teacher and I’d reach out to them to share my experiences and include myself in their conversations… I’d also be more honest about my difficulties with the process of learning and get help more easily! …. What limiting beliefs hold you back? 💗 #foundationtraining #doafounder #forwardheadposture #spinalhealth #backpain #correctiveexercise #breathwork #prehab #rehab #embody #functionalfitness #biohacking #protectyaneck #affordablehealthcare #selfhealers #lettinggo #release #emotions #activeadaptation #soul #ego #identity #limitingbeliefs #freedom #selfgrowth …. WHEN THE WORST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN, DOES: I keep WHEN THE WORST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN, DOES: I keep finding myself returning to this Greek myth about Inanna and her journey to the Underworld to meet her sister Ereshkigal. Inanna is dressed in her finest clothes and wears the crown of heaven on her head, beads around her neck, her breastplate, golden ring and carries her scepter, the rod of power. When she arrives, her sister isn't pleased to hear that she is there to visit and tells Neti to bolt the seven gates of the underworld against Inanna and then let her in, one gate at a time, requiring her to remove one of her royal garments at each gate. Neti does as he is commanded and, gate by gate, Inanna is stripped of her crown, beads, ring, scepter, even her clothing. Then when she finally gets there her sister judges her and then turns her into a rotting corpse and hangs her on the wall... (basically, stripping her of her ego)... Innana did have a plan in case she didn't return so some creatures came to her rescue and brought her back to life etc... It's an archetypal myth of the journey each individual must take to reach wholeness. Inanna in this piece, so the interpretation goes, is not a `whole person' until she appears vulnerable before her `darker half', dies, and returns to life. At the poem's end, this interpretation asserts, Inanna, through her descent into darkness, the shedding of the trappings of her former self, confrontation with her `shadow', death of who she was, and final re-birth, is now a complete individual, wholly aware."

When the worst thing that can happen, does, it can be a chance to be free of that fear... no longer having our energy tied up trying to prevent it from happening, but instead allowing ourselves to feel the pain and vulnerability of it and realizing how ok we are without it... this frees up the part of us that was desperately trying to stop that thing from ever happening and, instead, we can do something creative. #opportunity #movingforward #findaway #selfhealers #egodeath #loss #lettinggo #foundationtraining #acceptance #fascia #strengthtraining #mobilitytraining #functionalfitness #movementismedicine #movementculture #spinalinjury #prehab #rehab #posture
